As many of you know, Lance Yarborough stepped in as our Student Ministry Director in early June. He has done an excellent job leading our Student Ministry.
You may or may not be aware by now that on August 19th, while Lance was working under a car, the jack malfunctioned and dropped the car on his face. He was able to get out from under the car and was rushed to the trauma unit at UMC. The ophthalmologist and neuro surgeon each performed their surgeries Saturday night. Since then, Lance has been stable and mentally aware and doing well overall, considering the injuries. The Yarboroughs have been extremely grateful for so many people who have rallied around them with prayer, support, and encouraging words. As a church, we will continue to walk with Lance, Mary Nell, Jacob, and Caroline through this.
In the midst of all the chaos of Saturday, Lance was extremely concerned about the students, families, and leaders in the Student Ministry. As a church, we want to make sure our students are being loved, encouraged, and challenged to grow in their faith during Lance’s recovery. We are grateful for the team already in place to help. We believe, even while Lance is recovering, our Student Ministry will continue to effectively function at a high level. While Lance recovers, Pastor Zach Imboden will be the point person for our Student Ministry. He will act as an overseer of the ministry in helping and supporting both Donna and Alexandra, as well as the volunteer team in place.
Please continue to pray for Lance as he continues to recover. If you'd like to bless the Yarboroughs with cards, notes of encouragements, gift cards, etc., please bring them to the church office & we will deliver them.
Thank you for you continued support!
